Spring 2025 Baseball: Welcome to the Spring 2025 season!

Little League Baseball is available to players born between 9/1/2008 and 8/31/2021.

Important Registration Deadlines:

After November 10th, standard pricing will apply.
A late fee will be applied to registrations received after January 1st, 2025.

Your child will be assigned to the appropriate division based on numbers of kids per level, age, tryout performance and draft selection. Don't worry too much if you don't know which level your child belongs in as you register. We'll help you figure it out after tryouts. Just give us your best guess as to your preferred playing division. There are NO GUARANTEES that the division you choose as a preference is the division that your child will play in other than T-Ball and Coach Pitch.

TYPICAL AGE RANGES PER DIVISION:

Tee Ball: 4-5 (non-competitive instructional starter league, no score kept)
Coach Pitch: 5-6 (non-competitive instructional starter league, no score kept)
Single-A: 7-8
AA: 8-10
AAA: 9-11
Majors: 11-12
Juniors: 13-15

Tryouts will be held in January 11, 2025. All players requesting single-A through Majors MUST ATTEND A TRYOUT.

There are NO TRYOUTS for T-Ball and Coach Pitch.

Spring Season practices will begin at the beginning of February. Regular season games will begin at the end of February or beginning of March, weather depending and play through the end of May. Players playing in the AAA and Major Divisions may potentially have TOC games into June. Older players that make an All-Star team will play in an All-Star tournament that begins on either June 14 or June 21st, depending on age.

2025 SMVLL Spring Season

South Mission Viejo Little League Spring Ball

Spring Ball runs from mid-February to May. There are six Spring Ball Programs to choose from when registering.

Tee Ball – League Age 4-5

The primary goal of Tee Ball is to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork, have fun and make friends.

Coach Pitch - League Age 5-6

The primary goals of Coach Pitch are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Player and coach requests are allowed in this division.

Minor A – League Age 7-8

The goals of Single A are to continue to teach baseball fundamentals while introducing a faster speed pitch by machine. This is the first division where teams are formed via a draft process, so player and coach requests will not be allowed.

Minor AA – League Age 8-10

This division will continue skill-building on baseball fundamentals from successive divisions. This division continues player pitching and allows stealing of bases (excluding home plate). Teams are formed via the draft process, so player and coach requests will not be allowed.

Minor AAA – League Age 9-11

This division will continue skill-building on baseball fundamentals from successive divisions. This is a higher competitive division, where managers' offensive and defensive decisions will be based on player performance on the field. Teams are formed via the draft process, so player and coach requests will not be allowed.

Majors – League Age 11-12

Juniors - League Age 13-15
