Baseball Divisions & Descriptions:

Tee Ball – League age 5-6. Tee Ball division is for boys and girls 4-5 years old. The primary goal of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork, have fun and make friends. No live pitching is permitted in this division. Scores and standings are not kept and there are no playoffs in this division. This division is best for children who are league age five, and there may be some league age six playing down.

 

MINOR DIVISIONS

Coach Pitch - League age 6-7. Coach Pitch division is for boys and girls 5-6 years old. The primary goals of Coach Pitch are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Coach tossed pitching is permitted in this division. Scores and standings are not kept and there are no playoffs in this division. This division is best for children who are league age six, and there may be some league age seven playing down. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

 

Single A – League age 7-8.  Single A division is for boys and girls ages 6-8. The goals of Single A are to continue to teach baseball fundamentals, while introducing a faster speed pitch by machine. Scores and standings are not kept ad there are no playoffs in this division. This level is best for children who are league age seven and there may be some league age eight children playing down. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

 

Double A – League age 8-10.  Double A division is for boys and girls ages 7-9. This division will continue skill building on baseball fundamentals from successive divisions. This division adds player pitching, where pitch counts are enforced. Scores and standing s are kept and there are no playoffs for this division. This level is best for children who are league age seven and there may be some league age eight children playing down. This level is best for children who are league age eight and there may be some league age 10 children playing down. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

 

Triple A – League age 9-11. Triple A divisions is for children ages 9-11. This division will continue skill building on baseball fundamentals from successive divisions. Pitch counts are enforced. Base stealing is added.  Scores and standings are kept and there are playoffs for this division. This level is best for children who are league age eight playing up and there may be some and up to league age 10 participate in this level. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

 

LITTLE LEAGUE DIVISION

Majors – League age 11-12.  Little League Baseball Division (also known as the Major Division) is for boys and girls ages 11- 12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. The league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 11-12-year-olds from within this division, and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Little League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League International.

 

FALL ONLY - Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division was introduced in January, 2010, utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. The division, which is new division of Little League Baseball since 2013 is for players league-age 11- 13. The division offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior/Big League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). Many of the Junior League rules will be used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck

 

Juniors - League age 12-14 Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 12-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Modified diamond dimensions may be used during the regular season. The league can choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 12-14-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Senior League Division), and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Junior League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League International

 

Seniors - League age 17-18 - Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 13-16 years old, using a conventional 90- foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. The league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 13-16-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Junior League or Big League divisions), and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Senior League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world.
